God healed my wife of HIV – Bishop Abioye

by Folarin Kehinde November 10, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

Bishop David Abioye, the founder of Conquerors Global Assembly on Sunday, November 9, narrated how his wife Mary was miraculously healed after a HIV diagnosis.

The cleric, while sharing his wife’s testimony with members of his congregation said his wife was diagnosed with the disease during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Human immunodeficiency virus, known as HIV for short is a virus that attacks the body’s immune system.

While there is currently no cure, the disease can be managed effectively, and transmission from carriers can be prevented with adherence to medical guidelines and medication.

The disease is associated with flu-like symptoms which present within 2 to 4 weeks after infection and may last for a few days or several weeks.

However, the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) has said that having these symptoms alone doesn’t mean you have HIV. Other illnesses can cause similar symptoms and some individuals infected do not present any symptoms at all unless they are tested.

Without treatment, HIV can lead to Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) which is quite difficult to manage and often leads to death.

He, however stated that she was miraculously declared free of the disease after a vigorous prayer and spiritual confession of his faith.

Speaking during his church sermon on the topic, “Divine Healing”, Abioye said medical diagnoses are meant to be rejected.

According to him, he had rejected the doctors’ report on his wife’s HIV status despite her testing positive for the disease.

His words, “During COVID-19 they said my wife had HIV, I said no, not in this body.

“By the time they checked her….. Because I got scriptural revelations ‘the prince of this world came to check me and they have found nothing’ so I said ‘go and do the check up.’

“They checked her up and they couldn’t find anything there. Healing is not for gentlemen, you don’t nurse sickness to go, you fight sickness to go,” Abioye said.

Nigerian Government Turned Us To Terrorists — Bandits

by Folarin Kehinde November 9, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

Community leaders and council chairmen from Charanchi and Batagarawa local government areas in Katsina State on Saturday signed a “peace agreement” with a group of armed men otherwise called bandits.

At the meeting, one of the armed men addressed residents directly, saying the insurgency and kidnappings were shaped by wider political decisions rather than only by local actors.

“It was the government that wanted us to engage in banditry, but now it has called us and told us to stop. Therefore, by God’s grace, we have stopped from today,” said one of the bandits during the peace meeting between Batagarawa and Charanchi held on Saturday.

If the government wants all this insecurity to end, they have the power to end it — but they don’t want it to end. For the past two months, we have been trying to initiate a peace talk, but we were unable to because they didn’t know where we were hiding.

But when they finally decided to meet us, they were able to find and talk to us today. Peaceful coexistence and the end of insecurity depend on the Nigerian leaders. If they want us to keep striking and attacking, we will. But if they want peace, we will also make it happen.

We don’t have the power or wisdom to bring peace to the country except through the Nigerian government, because everything is under their control. Despite people saying that we are attacking, it is the government that made us do it.

“If they don’t want us to attack or kidnap people, they can stop it. However, today, they were the ones who called us, and by God’s grace, we have stopped from today. You oppressed citizens — if you want to cry, don’t cry with us, the ‘terrorists,’ but cry with your government, for they are the ones who made us do what we have been doing,” the terrorist said..

U.S. revokes visas of 80,000 Nigerians, other nationals for terrorism, over-stay

by Folarin Kehinde November 7, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

The United States government has announced the revocation of visas for foreign nationals.

The U.S. Department of State disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.

The visa revocation, it said, was “promises made, promises kept” by the President Donald Trump administration.

The statement noted that Mr Trump “will always put the safety and interests of the American people first”.

Major reasons for these revocations include assault, theft, and driving under the influence. The State Department said 16,000 of those driving under the influence, 12,000 of those involved in assault, and 8,000 of those involved in theft had their visas revoked, respectively, in 2025.

Other reasons for these visa revocations include terrorism, supporting terrorism, public safety threats, and overstaying visas.

Federal Lawmaker Escapes Assassination Attempt as Terrorists Ambush Convoy

by Folarin Kehinde November 5, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

A federal lawmaker, Jafaru Mohammad Ali Damisa, narrowly survived an attack on Tuesday after suspected terrorists ambushed his convoy.

The incident happened along the Lumma–Babanna road in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The attackers, described as “Lakurawa terrorists, locally referred to as bandits,” struck in the afternoon and caught the security team unprepared.

Security escorts immediately engaged the gunmen, but one soldier lost his life in the shoot-out.

Several others were severely injured and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Some political supporters also suffered injuries during the chaos.

Witnesses said the attackers fired continuously, damaging several vehicles in the convoy. At least “vandalised about 11 vehicles,” were left riddled with bullets before they were later removed from the scene.

Despite the heavy gunfire, Damisa managed to escape.

Reinforcement from troops at the Forward Operating Base in Babanna arrived shortly after receiving a distress call. Their presence forced the gunmen to retreat into the bush after a fierce gunfight.

However, at the time of this report, military personnel have increased patrols in the area as tension remains high among residents.

This attack has further raised concerns over insecurity in Niger State, especially around border communities frequently targeted by armed groups.

Son of RCCG founder, Pastor Akindayomi dies after prayer walk

by Folarin Kehinde November 5, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

Pastor Ifeoluwa Akindayomi, the youngest child of the late founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pa Josiah Akindayomi, has passed away at the age of 63.

Church Times reports that he died on Sunday, November 2, 2025 approximately 45 years after his father’s passing and only months after the death of his elder brother, Pastor Kolade Akindayomi, who died in May.

According to close associates, Pastor Ifeoluwa appeared to be in good health before his sudden death. He had served as chairman at a wedding on Saturday and reportedly went for a prayer walk early Sunday morning at the RCCG Camp in Ogun State.

Upon returning home and while preparing for church, he reportedly missed a step, fell, and struck his head on a sharp object.

Attempts to rush him to the hospital were unsuccessful, and he passed away before help could reach him.

Until his passing, Pastor Ifeoluwa served as the Assistant Provincial Pastor of RCCG Ogun Province 5 and ran a successful printing business. Family sources revealed that his wife and children, who reside in Canada, had long encouraged him to relocate.

Although he preferred to remain in Nigeria to oversee his business and church responsibilities, he had recently secured permanent residency in Canada and was preparing to reunite with his family before his unexpected death.

BREAKING: Stay out of Nigeria’s Internal Affairs, China warns US

by Folarin Kehinde November 4, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

China has voiced strong support for Nigeria following threats by former U.S. President Donald Trump to launch military action over alleged persecution of Christians in the West African nation.

Speaking at a press briefing on Tuesday, Mao Ning, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said Beijing stands firmly with Nigeria as it continues on its chosen path of development.

“As Nigeria’s comprehensive strategic partner, China firmly supports the Nigerian government as it leads its people on a development path suited to its national conditions,”

“China opposes any country using religion and human rights as an excuse to meddle in other countries’ internal affairs or to threaten them with sanctions or the use of force,” Ning said.

Ning’s remarks followed comments by Trump over the weekend in which he accused the Nigerian government of failing to stop the “killing of Christians” and warned of possible U.S. military intervention.

“If the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the United States will immediately halt all aid and assistance to Nigeria and may very well move into that now disgraced country, guns blazing, to wipe out the Islamic terrorists committing these atrocities,” Trump had declared in a fiery post on Truth Social.

He added that he had directed the U.S. Department of War to “prepare for possible action,” promising any strike would be “fast, vicious, and sweet.”

The Nigerian government has consistently rejected claims of systematic persecution of Christians. Responding to the U.S. leader’s comments, President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to religious freedom and mutual coexistence.

US govt is Nigeria’s enemy – Sheikh Gumi

by Folarin Kehinde November 4, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

Fiery Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, on Monday disclosed that the United States government is an enemy of Nigeria.

Gumi explained that US government see Nigeria as its enemy because of the latter’s resources.

Posting on his Facebook page, the popular Islamic scholar recalled that the same US government which allegedly backed late Biafra warlord, Odumegwu Ojukwu, is now claiming to be protecting Christians in the country.

He wrote: “The USA government, because of prejudice, and our resources are enemies of Nigeria.

“Yesterday, it was Ojukwu falsely claiming the ‘menace of Arabs and Islam’ in his declaration of war against the nation, only to be embarrassed by the Nigerian Christian head of state and his Christian deputy also.

“Yet the USA was behind him, training the Biafrans. Today, the USA is threatening Nigeria on the same claims as yesterday, ‘protecting the Christians’ as if they were small babies.

“Nigerians, we need to know our real enemies until the tide changes against these white racist evangelical supremacists.

“Thank God, the American people are understanding and getting bored with their rhetoric.”

Tinubu Set to Announce New Ambassadors Amid Trump’s Military Threat

by Folarin Kehinde November 4, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will unveil Nigeria’s new ambassadors by next week, amid the ongoing diplomatic tension with the United States over allegations of Christian killings in the country.

According to the report, President Tinubu has directed the nation’s security agencies to fast-track the screening and vetting of the ambassadorial nominees.

“President Tinubu will announce new ambassadors, and this may be as early as next week, as security services have been directed to conclude vetting immediately,” Arise TV stated.

This comes in the wake of U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent warning that military intervention could be considered if the Nigerian government fails to address reported attacks on Christian communities.

It will be recalled that in April, reports surfaced listing some notable political figures, including former Senator Shehu Sani, ex-presidential aide Reno Omokri, and former governors Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), among those being considered for ambassadorial positions.

In a recent update, the Federal Government confirmed that the list of ambassadorial nominees has been finalised.

Christian Genocide: Situation has reached a critical level, Canada backs US

by Folarin Kehinde November 4, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

Canada has joined the United States in raising alarm over what lawmakers describe as an ongoing attack against Christians in Nigeria.

The development followed a strong statement made in the Canadian Parliament, calling global attention to rising killings and targeted violence in the country.

The issue was brought forward by Andrew Scheer, a Member of Parliament and leader in the Conservative Party.

He warned that the situation has reached a critical level and accused extremist groups of carrying out systematic attacks on Christian communities.

During his address, he said Nigeria has witnessed mass killings, mass displacement, and destruction of places of worship.

He stressed that silence from the international community is worsening the crisis.

Scheer began by drawing attention to the scale of violence, saying,

“Mr. Speaker, I rise today to bring attention to the tragedy Christians in Nigeria are experiencing.”

He reminded Parliament that the crisis has lingered for years, stressing that extremist groups are behind much of the violence.

According to him, Boko Haram remains one of the key forces attacking Christian communities. He emphasized their mission to wipe out the faith, stating that the group has targeted believers and villages without mercy.

He referenced past atrocities to remind lawmakers of the group’s brutality:

“The deadly terrorist organization Boko Haram is trying to eliminate the Christian faith from Nigeria. This is the same terrorist group that kidnapped dozens of young schoolgirls and burned innocent civilians alive in cages.”

Scheer then spoke about the humanitarian disaster unfolding in affected regions.

He highlighted mass displacement across northern and central Nigeria, noting that millions have been forced from their homes, churches and communities.

“According to reports, over 3.5 million people have been forced to flee their homes. Three churches are destroyed every single day.”

The former house leader continued, explaining that Christian worship has become dangerous as many can no longer gather publicly without fear of attack.

Believers now meet secretly in devastated areas and burnt church buildings.

He added, “7,000 Christians were massacred this year alone, and the faithful must now meet in secret or in burnt-out sanctuaries.”

Scheer also expressed frustration over what he described as a lack of international attention.

He criticized global media and political leaders for failing to highlight the crisis or demand accountability.

He said,

“Sadly, the world is turning a blind eye to the plight of Christians in Nigeria. There are no embedded journalists covering the violence. There are not daily updates. Politicians around the world are not asked questions about how they will respond.”

The Canadian MP urged world leaders to act, insisting that global silence is helping fuel the violence.

He stressed the need for humanitarian support, public awareness and international pressure on authorities to protect vulnerable communities.

“We cannot ignore this violence and tragic loss of life. We must speak out and shine a light on what’s happening so that people can donate to relief efforts and provide support to those displaced by violence.”

Scheer ended on a note of solidarity and faith. He encouraged Christians in Nigeria to remain resilient despite the suffering, promising that they would not be forgotten.
