A senior official of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL)-owned Antan Producing Limited (APL), Moses Kolo Tsado, has been linked to a luxury residential property in Houston, Texas, valued at about N727 million.
Tsado, who serves as APL’s Director of Contract and Procurement, was identified in property documents relating to a three-bedroom, two-bathroom single-family residence at 14431 Basalt Lane, Houston, Texas 77077.
The 2,546-square-foot property was reportedly listed for $495,950 in June 2025 before its asking price was reduced to $482,950 in July and subsequently to $480,000 in October.
Records indicate that the property was marked as pending sale on December 10, 2025, at $480,000. Its current estimated market value stands at $485,413.
According to documents obtained by Reporters, the deed associated with the transaction names Enrique Alfonso Hernandez Maese and Adriana Navarrete Chavez as the grantees, while Moses Kolo Tsado and Lucy Kaka Tsado are listed as the grantors.
The ownership timeline in the report shows Maese and Chavez as the owners from December 23, 2025.
The report further states that the property was privately owned and occupied, rather than held through a corporate entity.
Tsado works with Antan Producing Limited, an exploration and production company described as a wholly owned subsidiary of NNPCL.
The transaction has attracted attention following an earlier Freedom of Information (FOI) request reportedly sent to Tsado in March 2025 by the Network Against Corruption and Trafficking (NACAT), an anti-corruption organisation.
The development raises questions about the asset declaration obligations of public officers. Under Nigeria’s Code of Conduct requirements, public officers are expected to declare their assets, liabilities and properties upon assumption of office, periodically during their tenure and at the end of their service, subject to the applicable rules.
