The Pastor-in-Charge, Throne Room of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Tunde Benjamins-Laniyi on Sunday Held a peace Prayer Walk to seek for peace for Nigeria.
Laniyi while speaking with journalists at the walk in Abuja noted that the significance of the walk cannot be underestimated as it carries a value of eternal dimension.
According to Laniyi, Peace is the seal and bedrock of prosperity and when absent in national development, prosperity will be far.
He explained that the church is declaring peace in every nooks and crannies of the nation for peace of God to reign whilst also praying for intervention of God to allow every instruments of violence be broken and disgraced and instrumentality of pains and afflictions be disbanded.
He further explained that the church is praying for peace on our streets and communities for thuggery, slavery, terror and horror to be a thing of the past so that an end will finally come to an end in the midst of our inheritance.
Meanwhile, Laniyi noted that those behind conflicts themselves knows no peace as everyman has tendencies to having peace, they too will not have peace
“For those behind conflicts in the nation, he said for those mischief makers, they themselves do not have peace and everyman has a tendency to having peace, it is something that we all crave for, so they can’t give peace they will not have peace”.
What we are saying is,that let’s stop all this rancor, armed conflict, terror and thuggery.
Laniyi further explained that peace is non-negotiable as the elections are around the corner considering its vices, and as such peace for the nation should be embraced.
“Election time is around the corner and this has been evidence in the past, let’s stop all this, let everything be done with ease because the peace of this nation is non-negotiable.”
“So we are saying that God should intervene because if we can’t do anything at least we can pray, that’s why we are standing for peace, engaging for peace and declaring for peace and seeking peace in our nation”.
