As part of effort aimed at showing love especially to orphans, the Idemudo Ekwere Foundation in partnership with VeVe on Tuesday distributed gift items to the City of Refuge Orphanage Home in Abuja.

The Founder, Idemudo Ekwere Foundation, Mrs Ekwere while speaking at the event stated that the world needs more love now than ever, hence we should always show love to everyone no matter how little.

Mrs Ekwere explained that the foundation aims at letting people know that widows are passing through a lot but all they need is appreciation rather than condemnation from people.

She added that widows should not be seen as pity party but they are also capable of giving back to the society no matter the situation.

Meanwhile, Mrs Ekwere narrated that the foundation was founded after the demise of Late Mr Ekwere, a philanthropist to the core, hence the best way to connect and live his legacy is to show some love to the orphans and widows.

“The journey has not been easy but whatever has happened has been because of love, his love has been keeping me from strength to strength even though I might want to give up but for the sake of the children and also to be a role model to others but God has been faithful”.
