BREAKING: UK Charity Commission Freezes Assets of MFM Ministries

by Folarin Kehinde October 22, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

The United Kingdom’s Charity Commission has frozen assets of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries International (MFM), a church founded by Dr. Daniel Olukoya, following findings of financial mismanagement and governance lapses within its UK operations.

In a detailed report released on Monday, LEADING REPORTERS learned that the commission said the decision followed an official inquiry that uncovered “serious concerns” about how the church’s funds were being managed.

The investigation revealed that MFM trustees failed to maintain proper oversight of over 100 bank accounts run independently by local branches across the country.

According to the Commission, the charity’s rapid expansion from a few branches to over 90 nationwide was not matched by the necessary governance systems to ensure financial accountability.

“Branches operated autonomously, opening and managing bank accounts without central authorisation or adequate monitoring,” the report said. “This created substantial risks to charitable funds and led to inaccurate and delayed financial reporting.”

The inquiry also found that some branches had engaged in major financial transactions, including the purchase and leasing of properties, without the knowledge or approval of the main trustees.

These irregularities, the Commission said, resulted in “financial losses that could not be fully accounted for.”

As part of its enforcement action, the Commission ordered the immediate freezing of all MFM’s UK assets to prevent further mismanagement.

“The Commission has acted decisively to protect the charity’s remaining assets while remedial steps are being implemented,” the statement added.

This is not the first time the Charity Commission has intervened in MFM’s affairs. In 2019, the regulator appointed an interim manager to oversee the church’s financial administration after repeated failures to file annual reports and maintain proper accounting records.

Refusal to marry a woman you deflowered leads to spiritual bondage, Olukoya warns men

by Folarin Kehinde March 23, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Olukoya has emphasised the spiritual implications of premarital s3x.

According to him, men who deflowered women, form a covenant with them, which can lead to a lifetime of spiritual bondage.

Dr. Olukoya warned that this covenant can also transfer demonic influences to future partners, causing havoc in their lives.

He stressed the importance of breaking this covenant to prevent its consequences from affecting future generations.

He said: “If you’re a man and you have disvirgined somebody or more than one lady. Don’t be surprised if your life is upside down. Because when you disvirgin a woman, you wet your male organ with the blood from that woman. So you have formed a covenant to that woman. So to now say you did not marry the person is a serious problem you have caused for yourself. It will go from generation to generation unless you break it. If the girl you disvirgin is now demonic, then you have formed a covenant with a girl and with a demon. And when you move over to another woman, the extra luggage you collected from that demonic girl, you transfer it to another girl that has no demon, that one too will collect”.

2025: ‘Marine kingdom has injected strange women into the world’ – MFM’s Olukoya warns men

by Folarin Kehinde January 2, 2025
written by Folarin Kehinde

The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, has issued a stern warning to promiscuous men, cautioning them to turn away from adultery as agents of the marine kingdom have been dispatched in the form of ladies to ensnare their souls.

Speaking during the church’s interdenominational crossover and prosperity night at Prayer City, Lagos-Ibadan Motorway, Olukoya emphasised the need for spiritual vigilance, urging believers worldwide to pray for their “spiritual eyes” to be opened and to connect to God’s power through targeted prayers.

“The ultimate solution to live year 2025 successfully is to connect to God’s power; you must know God personally and intimately this year and ensure your ‘spiritual eyes’ are open to see things from God’s perspective, the way God is seeing it,” he said.

On marine world injecting strange women, Olukoya said, “It is also a year of tragedy for men, married men who like going around with strange women. The marine world has injected into our midst women who are not women, who are from another world. If you are a man and fond of going all over the place, you may just disappear. So you have to be very careful.”

Dr. Olukoya described 2025 as a year of strange battles, where the wicked will seek to oppress the righteous and turmoil will abound.

“You cannot afford to be ignorant this year. Also, you need targeted prayers according to the Bible, the word of God, this year because 2025 is a year of strange battle where the crooked want to attack the straight, a year where the oppressed will fight the free, a year where the empty want to empty the full, and where the thief wants to fight the owner,” he said.

He also noted that God’s intervention would thwart the plans of the wicked, declaring, “This year God will scatter the plans of the enemies with divine interruption. For us in MFM, this is our year of power and undeniable victories.”

Olukoya predicted significant breakthroughs for those seeking marital and fruit-of-the-womb blessings, as well as an era of transformative leadership globally.

He described 2025 as a year of restoration and called on believers to anchor their lives in God as the ultimate survival strategy against the year’s economic, political, and weather-related challenges.

“More prayers are needed to tackle strange economic and political turbulence, massive weather turbulence like floods, and all kinds of weather disturbances,” he warned.
