The Ferdinand Effah Music Heritage Foundation (FEMHF), through its voice piece “Ferdy’s Band” has received an award for sterling performance at the 2022 Abuja Nigeria Lugbe Stake Music Festival organized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Lugbe Stake.
The music festival held on 3rd of September and anchored by a music promoter and enthusiast, Monday Akpan featured other choral groups and artists like Abuja Coral Society, Angel Otok, Bryson Okafor of Lugbe Art Community, Kubwa Stake choir among other performers.
The foundation received its first award as advocates of autism and special needs community in Nigeria. Ferdinand Effah Music Heritage Foundation has been at the fore pushing for inclusiveness for autistic and special needs people in Nigeria.
While thanking the church and the organizers of the event, the President and Trustee of FEMHF Mr. Stanley Effah expressed his joy for the honour and recognition done autistic people in Nigeria through the instrumentality of music spearheaded by the foundation.
“We are awed at this honor done us. We are more especially grateful that this is coming from a religious organization that understands and supports self-reliance activities. The resources of the Church as they relate to emotional and temporal self-reliance have benefited the foundation in no small measure”.
Ferdinand Effah Music Heritage Foundation is named after a young autistic child Ferdinand Effah who found the healing hand of time and a means of expressing himself through the power of rhythm.
