FCT: Dape To Life Camp Road, An Accident Waiting To Happen

by Folarin Kehinde October 19, 2022
written by Folarin Kehinde

The Dape to Life Camp Road FCT, looks like any other normal road when it is dry. Thousands of Abuja residents ply the road on a daily basis while going about their daily business. This includes students, business people, corporate workers e.t.c.

However, whenever it rains the road starting from AA Rano Fueling Station to Angwan Cement becomes a death trap due to excessive flooding.

Motorist who are unlucky to ply the road during the flooding have their ‘hearts in their mouths’ for fear of their lives.

Whenever it rains, water covers the whole road from AA Rano Fueling station, up till angwan cement. The water partially submerges all vehicles, bikes or tricycles (keke napep) that are on the road at that particular moment.

This flooding makes it difficult for even skilled drivers to use the road effectively and extra caution must be put in place to avoid accidents or loss of lives.

Water is known to reduce the friction between the tyres of a car and the road, thus making it difficult for drivers to have full control over their vehicles, and increasing the chances of a vehicle sliding and falling off the road.

Indeed, there has been such cases where due to the flooding along that axis, Keke Napeps have been washed away into a river opposite AA Rano.

Even though the negative effects of the road can be clearly seen and many motorists have complained about the dangers they face on that road, the FCT administration is yet to find any lasting to the problem.

Whether they are waiting for lives to be lost before they swing into action is what one cannot phantom.

A while ago, some artisans were contacted to work on the road. It is not to my knowledge whether they were contracted by the FCT administration or through community effort.

However, the artisans did such an unprofessional job that the next rain brought all their work to nothing.

One is left to wonder if they were under funded or they failed to utilize the cash given for the job and intentionally did a shabby job only for them to pocket the profits.

It is therefore pertinent, that the minister of the FCT, Mohammed Musa Bello must rise up to his duties which is to protect the lives and ensure the safety of FCT residents.

He must find a lasting solution to the flooding problem before it leads to the destruction of cars, Lives and property.

I call on the minister and the entire FCT administration to look into the plight of the road users that ply the Dape to Life Camp road daily and solve the flooding issues immediately.

President Muhammadu Buhari VS ASUU Strike

by Folarin Kehinde October 14, 2022
written by Folarin Kehinde

Since the inception of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has embarked on strike five times now.

The union’s strikes under Buhari account for the highest number of days the lecturers have shut down the university system under any President since the nation returned to democracy in 1999.

Under Buhari’s watch, ASUU’s last two strikes have exceeded 200 days each, the longest under any President since 1999.

The first was on August 17, 2017. It ended in September 2017, lasting five weeks.

The second strike started on November 4, 2018 and lasted until February 7, 2019,

The third commenced on March 23, 2020 and lasted nine months, ending December 23, 2020.

On February 14, 2022, ASUU announced the commencement of yet another strike, which lasted for four weeks.

On March 14, 2022, ASUU embarked on a two-month strike and later extended it indefinitely. That ended 13th Oct 2022.

Following the suspension of the strike today, it can be concluded that ASUU has been on strike for a total of 669 days under President Muhammadu Buhari administration

How To Source Lithium Minerals In Nigeria

by Folarin Kehinde October 4, 2022
written by Folarin Kehinde

The hottest and most sought after mineral in Nigeria today is lithium ore. The World has descended on Nigeria seeking for lithium because the international system is headed at a very fast speed towards a lithium-dominated World economy.

All smart men are already taking up strategic positions. The war to control sources of lithium is on! But unlike the oil wars of the old, which were fought with bombs and mortars, the instrument of warfare in the ongoing battle for the control of lithium is money! Big money! Dollars!

China is intent on winning this war at all costs! The Chinese are all over Nigeria looking for lithium minerals such as spodumene, lepidolite and amblygonite.

Nigeria has one of the largest and best grade lithium deposits in the World. New deposits are being discovered every day.

Over 98% of the pegmatite veins that crisscross the length and breadth of North-Central Nigeria are heavily rich with different grades of lithium ores, including kunzite spodumene of over 9% grade!

The whole of Kwara State for example is sitting on large deposits of pink lepidolite and medium grade spodumene.

Nigeria is benefiting greatly from the current explosion in lithium trade in the form of increase in revenue generation and provision of employment opportunity which has led to drastic reduction of crimes in states like Nasarawa.

But as buyers and exporters are searching for where to buy lithium, the major challenge is that there is no central market in Nigeria where anyone with his/her money can simply go and buy the products.

The trade in Nigeria is based on personal contacts. It is not so easy for new comers. And that leads us to the topic of this essay- how to source lithium minerals in Nigeria.

FOUR EASY WAYS OF SOURCING LITHIUM MATERIALS IN NIGERIA:

  1. Leverage on Existing Structures, Platforms and Contacts:

The best and easiest way to gain immediate entrance to sourcing lithium ores in Nigeria is to make use of existing mineral sourcing lines.

These are local agents and companies that already have existing mineral buying centers with direct links to the hinterlands where these minerals are mined.

Most of these agents and companies have mineral warehouses that can be used as sourcing centers, plus vast contacts that can be used to source minerals and acquire mineral sites

2. Set Up Your own Mining Company:

The second method of sourcing lithium minerals in Nigeria is through setting up your own mining company to mine lithium ores yourself.

The incorporation of a company at the Corporate Affairs Commission is not a difficult one. But you still need the assistance of a local agent to locate where there are great lithium deposits and how to go about it.

3. Open a Metallic Mineral Buying Center:

Another method of sourcing lithium materials in Nigeria is to set up your own mineral buying center.

The Department of Artizanal and Small Scale Mining, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development issues a mineral license called Certificate of Mineral Buying Center for four categories of minerals: metallic, nonmetallic, precious stones and gemstones.

With a mineral buying center certificate for metallic minerals, you can trade on all metallic minerals in Nigeria such as tantalite, tin, zinc, lead, wolframite, columbite, beryllium, lithium, iron ore, chalcopyrite, etc. However, local agents are still needed to assist you obtain the license, set up the buying center and form bulk of your initial suppliers.

4. Buy Lithium Ores from the Cities:

The forth method through which a newcomer can source lithium in Nigeria is to simply buy the products from the cities of Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt. The only challenge here is that you buy at exorbitant prices. And you still need local agents to get things fixed for you or even figure out things.

About the Writer

Ede Greg is a Mining Entrepreneur and Lithium Mineral Sourcing Consultant. He sources Minerals for different buyers in Nigeria. His vast contacts in the Nigerian Solid Mineral Sector, access to government bureaucracy for licenses, and direct links to the hinterlands has led to the sourcing of large quantities of different minerals for different buyers. He helps companies to buy or acquire large mineral deposits for mining operations. His warehouse structures at Keffi, Nasarawa State is open to those who wish to leverage on existing mineral sourcing platforms to gain immediate access to the Nigerian mineral market. Breaking: 150 officers of NIS due for retirement refuse to go: Lobby and bribe for tenure elongation

by Leading Reporters September 20, 2022
written by Leading Reporters

Following the allegation that the Comptroller General (CG) of Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, Idris isah Jere spent nothing less than N6billion in bribery for a year-long tenure elongation, more than 150 officers who are due for retirement have refused to go, insisting that what is good for the goose is good for the gander, LeadingReporters can authoritatively report.

A source who spoke to this news platform on condition of anonymity revealed that the officers affected are currently bribing some key officers in the Presidency and the Ministry of Interior for their tenures to be pushed far further.

The source further said that the officers, on realizing that the Comptroller General whose valedictory session has already been planned and date fixed, bribed his way to remain in office, vowed to remain in office as long as the CG Jere continues to hold sway in the organization.

“The CG was due for retirement.  He has prepared his handover note.  Midway into that, he initiated a move at the presidency and in the supervisory ministry and that move costs Nigerian tax payers nothing less than N6billion in bribery.  Before one knew it, his tenure was extended and an in-house and secret decoration ceremony was done in the Minister’s office.  This is despite the millions of Naira that has been budgeted and expended in all the related valedictory sessions that have been planned.

The source said that the decoration ceremony was done in secrecy in order to avoid public outcry.

Recall that LeadingReporters in its recent publication reported that the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service spent Billions of Naira in bribery for tenure elongation alongside the head of Directorate of Passport and Other Travel Documents DCG Modupe Anyalechi

Wanted In Nigeria: Issue-Based Electioneering Campaigns

by Folarin Kehinde September 19, 2022
written by Folarin Kehinde

By Tonnie Iredia

The official take-off date for electioneering campaigns for next year’s general elections in Nigeria is exactly 10 days away.

The take-off date must be seen for what is – merely official and not real because campaigns for the elections are not only already on, they have been actively on-going since the end of the last elections in 2019.

This confirms that Nigerian politicians cherish experimenting with the rules of the game of politics and elections.

As a result, the trend has encouraged feeble development in the country because the time that was originally designed and reserved for governance has been usurped and converted to unending electioneering.

The more irritating aspect of the trend is that such campaigns have neither been issue-based nor devoted to substantive matters of public interest.

Unfortunately, the subsisting mundane pattern of political campaigns does not point to the possibility that the so-called official period of campaign would in any way be different from past experiences.

In fact, it has never changed from what obtained in the military era. It will be recalled that exactly 30 years ago, elder statesman, Ben Nwabueze had observed that “the transition to civil rule elections in Nigeria organized under the military were fought not on the basis of issues but on mere trivialities – mudslinging between the parties and denigration of each other’s emblems and symbols.

” If the political culture has for more than three decades taken the same pattern in which the public was always short-changed by politicians, how to reverse the trend should be a subject that all civil society groups must agree upon.

It is time to compel our politicians to play the game of elections by its rules.

Interestingly, there have always been copious laws as well as rules and guidelines made by the electoral body but the inclination has always been for political actors to find ways and means of circumventing them to fraudulently win the polls and institute a new government that performs below its predecessor which had itself performed abysmally low.

In particular, civil society groups must insist that the period labelled as the official time for campaigns must be devoted to substantive voter and public education.

We have had almost one year of jokes and lighted hearted issues.

It is therefore time for politicians especially their support groups to relegate the denigration of their opponents to the background so that the real issues of politics can occupy the front burner.

For example, having gone beyond the picking of party flag bearers, we have had enough of ‘emi-lo-kan’ jokes. It is no longer necessary to seek to denounce the life-time ambition of any candidate who thinks it is his turn to be president.

In any case, the subject is not the exclusive preserve of only the APC candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A cursory look at the political journeys of Atiku Abubakar the PDP candidate and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the NNPP will easily show them all in the same bracket.

Indeed, of the four leading candidates, Peter Obi of the Labour Party is probably the only one that has not severally attempted to be president.

To attain a conducive environment, divisive issues such as same faith ticket or zoning that can inflame passion which have since pitched people in different camps should be allowed to rest.

After all, those who are bothered about it have since made up their minds where to go.

In particular, North Central Christians under the leadership of notable politicians like Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and Babachir Lawal, former Secretary to the government of the federation have greatly popularized their perception of inequity as far as the subject is concerned.

Southwest PDP led by Bode George has similarly made its point about imbalance. If those in support did not heed the calls to make amends, there is no need to make them issues of campaign rallies thereby heading towards violence; instead, those in favour or against the issues should vote accordingly.

The question whether Musa Kwankwaso is only a local leader in Kano or not should be left with the electorate, just as those who appear angered by the enthusiasm of igbo voters in support of Peter Obi, should also realise that voters have a right to determine who to vote for.

But if the truth must be told, Kwankwaso and Obi are not the only ones who anticipate and rely on support from specific geographical areas. Even those who claim to be detribalized elites are never able to hide their ethnic preferences.

In a recent interview, one analyst expressed disappointment over what he called a parochial opinion by a former PDP presidential candidate, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen who was quoted to have said he has been unable to see the works of Peter Obi that can sway northern votes to him.

If so, what is wrong with him seeking to sway igbo votes?

In addition to what has been said so far, two more issues must be underscored if proper campaigns can hold from September 28, 2022.

The first is to ensure that overzealous party officials do not take over the role of candidates.

Already, all the parties have appointed eloquent and persuasive spokespersons who are capable of deliberately becoming unnecessarily argumentative just to strategically shield their principals from tough questions by opponents and the media.

Examples abound where image-makers have displayed the tendency to engage largely in fabrications and inaccurate statements to make their points.

This time around, we need to insist that the candidates should speak for themselves.

For example, whereas one of Tinubu’s aides has in a bid to paint a strong and healthy picture of his principal claimed that the candidate currently works for 20 hours a day, Tinubu himself or any other candidate would hardly claim such abnormal stamina

Another reason why candidates should be encouraged to make policy statements by themselves is for Nigerians to confirm the viability of such candidates.

It can also help to avoid a situation in which some candidates may in future disown statements made on their behalf. The PDP candidate needs to note that many people heard and look forward to his comment on scaling down our unwieldy federal legislature.

All the candidates need to know that this time around speaking for themselves is not even enough, they should expect that voters would be anxious to ascertain that they are fully aware of the implications of their statements.

Never again should Nigeria allow candidates and their parties to promise reforms only to claim after getting into office that they actually didn’t know the situation was as bad as they eventually discovered.

In other words, a campaign devoid of mere acrobatic displays and slogans is more likely to establish that a victorious political party is really ready to make the security and welfare of the citizenry its main obligation in government.

Campaigns for 2023 elections must be issue-based, no ‘rhetorics.’ The other parties that are yet to launch their manifestos should realize that they are already steps behind.

We need to see such documents and thoroughly examine them to be able to interrogate the candidates during campaigns. The APC officials who have been promising to get theirs out must do so forthwith. The PDP that has released hers should be ready to focus on how it intends to achieve the blue print it has generated. Many who have praised the Labour Party for its mastery of the statistics of governance still need the party to break down how it intends to use such knowledge to solve basic issues like unemployment.

While looking forward to clean campaigns devoid of intemperate language and the use of thugs, Nigerians need to passionately plead with our judiciary to elevate our elections above their jargons and technicalities.

We have all fought for free and fair elections without manual manipulations. We have hailed INEC for standing-up to the antics of die-hard election riggers.

Using technicalities to impose on INEC and the electoral process, candidates that did not participate in party primaries monitored by INEC would be a disservice.

2023 is Nigeria’s year of hope, it must not be truncated.

Busted: INEC, APC Plot To Sabotage 2023 Election

by Folarin Kehinde September 15, 2022
written by Folarin Kehinde

A treacherous plot by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to sabotage the 2023 general elections has been uncovered.

The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has revealed a grand strategy by the APC and INEC to rig next year elections in favour of the ruling APC.

The plot includes; Registering millions of fake voters across APC controlled states nationwide, infiltrating electoral officials with people loyal to the APC and an attempt to nullify the use of the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS).

The case of study for this revelation was the Omuma Ward in Oru East Local Government Area in Imo State.

Omuma Ward is the personal ward of Hope Uzodinmma, the APC governor of Imo State whom President Muhammadu Buhari is fond of visiting.

CUPP intercepted hundreds of registered voters document in Omuma ward, which contained thousands of fake individuals with names neither Igbo nor Nigerian amongst other discrepancies.

Firstly, CUPP noted that the Omuma ward in 2014 had about 6500 registered voters in 2014. However, in 2022 despite the insecurity in the local government caused by unknown gunmen which has caused many individuals to flee the local government, Omuma ward now miraculously has over 46,000 registered voters.

The intercepted documents showed thousands of foreign voters with names that are not Nigerian and age as old as 120.

Foreign names like Tyson Carter, Short Fleur, Shaffer Keelie, Stark Jasper, Griffin Eden, Fitzgerald Cade, Hines Briar, Head Cailin etc were passed as registered voters.

Also, in computer generated fashion, most of the individuals were assigned a date of Birth of 1983. This includes old faces of women and old, sometimes old enough to be 70 or 80 years of age.

Most people were also assigned date of birth as old as 1900, 1902 etc. One would expect such individuals to have died a long time ago

Interestingly, the gender of most of the individuals was fake. People who have male pictures were assigned the female gender (F), while people with women pictures were assigned the Male gender (M).

Names also did not match faces, a person called Garner Stella has a picture of a man and the gender of a woman.

These thousands of fake individuals were discovered in just one ward in one local government of one state. One is then left to worry about the number of such individuals in other wards or local government of same Imo State and across the 18 states controlled by the All Progressives Congress in Nigeria.

Also, CUPP intercepted a Court document filed at the Owerri High Court, seeking the nullification of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System in the 2023 elections.

The case was filed since the 14th of August, yet INEC brought it up to public notice.

CUPP has alleged that it is the plan of INEC and the APC government to pre-upload these fake voters as accredited voters in the BVAS machines.

Then they’ll use them to generate fake results at the end of the election.

That is if their back up plan to nullify the use of BVAS so they can continue rigging as usual does not work out for them.

CUPP has call on well meaning Nigerians to challenge INEC to uncover what this plot is to steal their future.

INEC must produce the officials who compromised the BVAS system and uploaded fake voters. These individuals must be arrested and prosecuted according as it is an act of treason.

They called on Nigerians not to allow the plans of the APC to come to pass and to rise up and take back their country.

Obidients Are Offspring of PDP – Sowore

by Folarin Kehinde September 13, 2022
written by Folarin Kehinde

Kenny Folarin, Abuja

The Presidential Candidate, African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore has described the Labour Party Faithfuls ” the Obidients” as offspring of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Sowore while speaking in a monitored interview by LEADING REPORTERS with Classic FM on Monday noted that the AAC will oppose the excesses of Labour Party as they are offspring of the PDP.

“if PDP is kicked out we expect we will be the ones forming the next government, if the obidient form the next government we will be in opposition against their excesses considering that they are the offspring of PDP anyways”.

Meanwhile Sowore noted that it is up to Nigerians to make him win the coming elections as power resides in their votes.

“if you want me to win, I will win if you want to keep voting for the enemies of the people so be it, but one thing that I want to assure you that our votes count”.

He explained that major political parties should go home first because they do not have the capacity to run the nation, “I can’t vote for any party that is parading themselves as major party candidate because a lot of them cannot win in South Africa”.

Sowore responding to a question on apologizing to Nigerians for being part of the present maladministration noted that it is shame for Nigerians to demand apologies from him as he is not part of the present maladministration but has been fighting for justice for Nigerians.

” I haven’t changed since I became a public figure, Nigeria is one of the country that people as you to apologies to thieves, what I have ever done in my life is expose corruption, for against oppression, fight for democracy”.

“But here you are you are not asking the people who took monies meant to fight boko haram and distributed it for election, people who took monies for social welfare but you are asking the guy who has been fighting them, jailed and family affected to apologies to people have weaponized you, shortchanging you and criminalize your existence, it’s a shame”.

Bribery for tenure elongation rocks Nigeria Immigration Service: CGI Idris; DCG Anyalechi fingered

by Leading Reporters September 5, 2022
written by Leading Reporters

Allegations of bribery for tenure elongation has been made against the current Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigrations Service Idris isah Jere and the DCG Directorate of Passport and Other Travel Documents Mrs Modupe Anyalechi.  A close source who spoke to LeadingReporters on condition of anonymity revealed that the CGI may have parted with nothing less than N3billion in securing a one year tenure extension. It was learnt the CGI embarked on massive lobbying in the Villa and among other stakeholders who billed him in hundreds of millions.

“I am certain that as much as over N3billion was collected by one single individual who is a power broker in the government today.  Other hundreds of millions were given to other stakeholders to facilitate the illegal tenure extension.  It has become a norm in Nigeria that top government functionaries who desire to stay put in their positions expends billions of tax payers money in bribery to remain in office.

The source further hinted that DCG Modupe Anyalechi leveraged her connection and tribal affiliation with some big shots in the ministry of interior to elongate her stay in the office.  DCG Anyalechi who is in charge of Directorate of Passport and Other Travel Documents was said to have attained her retirement age on 17th May, 2022.

“She refused to retire because of backing from Ministry of Interior”.

“DCG Anyalechi refused to go when she found out the game played by the CGI for his tenure renewal.  It was a case of I know what you know”.  The source said.

It was learnt that the CGI refused to compel DCG Anyalechi to proceed on her terminal leave for fear that the later would hit back by exposing what she knew about the CGI.

All efforts by this online news platform to get the issues addressed by immigration management were unsuccessful as at the time of filing this report.

Group raises alarm over plans to ‘empty’ the National treasury by serving political office holders

by Leading Reporters September 2, 2022
written by Leading Reporters

A group, League of Patriots has raised alarm over what it described as plans by public office holders serving under President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to empty the treasury through fictitious expenses.

The group said it has information that most serving ministers, director generals and other political appointees have perfected plans to sweep the treasury using newly floated companies as well as that of their proxies.

According to information exclusively obtained by LeadingReporters, top management officers of NNPC, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and agencies under them have been fingered in these accusation.

The group, according to its spokesman said that they have been following events and information in all the MDAs as it relates to the activities of the top management staff and they have information which greatly suggests an impending financial disaster that would be occasioned by last minutes looting of the treasury by outgoing political office holders.

Rising from a meeting in  Austin Texas, the group spokesman Andrew Madaki said that membership of the league are drawn from patriotic Nigerians mostly within the ICT industry.  Madaki said they have placed surveillance on some companies, some financial institutions and individuals who are mostly likely going to serve as a conduit for this illegal transfers and unpatriotic act.

The group says they have alerted Interpol, Financial Action Task Force FAFI,  USA Department of the Treasury,  and other local and international anti-laundering organizations and agencies.

New Month: Things That Will Happen In September

by Folarin Kehinde September 1, 2022
written by Folarin Kehinde

Welcome to the Month of September our esteemed readers from us at LEADINGREPORTERS. This month, though just beginning is packed with intriguing political events, sober memories, amongst other activities.

September 1 – Emirates Airline Suspend Nigerian Flights

Taking effect from 1st of September, Emirates Airline would completely suspend further operations in Nigeria.

This is due to their over 95 million dollars trapped funds in Nigeria which they cannot repatriate due to foreign exchange (FX) scarcity in the Nation.

According to the Dubai owned Airline company, it had tried every avenue possible to address it’s ongoing challenges in repatriating funds from Nigeria.

They had made considerable efforts to initiate dialogue with relevant authorities without any success.

They have therefore taken the difficult decision to suspend flight in Nigeria in order to minimize further losses and impact on their operational costs that continue to accumulate in the market.

In their statement, the Emirates airline stated that “We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused to our customers, however the circumstances are beyond our control at this stage. We will be working to help impacted customers make alternative travel arrangements wherever possible,” the airline stated.

The airline further stated that if there would be any positive developments in the coming days regarding its blocked funds in Nigeria, it would re-evaluate its decision.

September 11 – 9/11 Attack Commemoration

On the 11th of September, the world would commemorate with the United States who were attacked by Al Qaeda terrorist on that day in 2001.

Four planes were hijacked that day by the terrorist. Two of the planes crashed into the twin towers of the world trade center in New York, another crashed in the Pentagon while the last plane crashed in a field without hitting its target.

A total of 2,996 people were killed in the 9/11 attacks, including the 19 terrorist hijackers aboard the four airplanes. Citizens of 78 countries died in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.

Three Nigerians died during the attack. Their names are Godwin Ajala, 33, Ignatius Udo Adanga, 62, and Olabisi Shadie Layeni-Yee. May their souls rest in peace.

9/11 is known to be the deadliest attack on American soil and its aftermath changed a lot of the world’s dynamics. It initiated the war on terror and the continued presence of American troops in the middle east till this very day.

September 12 – Academic Activities Resume

On September 12th, pupils in primary and secondary schools across the nation would resume for their first term academic activities.

The first term is expected to run from 12th September till early December.

The resuming students includes those in governments schools in Abuja that were closed abruptly due to the insecurity facing the nation’s capital.

LEADINGREPORTERS wrote on the closing of unity and government schools in the nation’s capital due to reports of bandits infiltrating areas in Abuja.

We hope that the schools are now safe for our children to learn without any harm coming their way.

September 28 – Presidential Campaigns Begin

September 28th is the date slated by the Independent National Electoral Commission for presidential and National Assembly campaigns to begin across the country.

According to section 32(I) of the electoral act 2022, campaigns are expected to start 150 days before the election and end 24 hours before election day.
