The Anambra State Government has presented brand-new Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to 10 judges as part of efforts to improve the welfare of judicial officers and strengthen the administration of justice in the state.
The vehicles were officially handed over during a ceremony held on Monday at the Light House in Awka.
Representing Governor Chukwuma Soludo at the event, the Secretary to the State Government, Chiamaka Nnake, said the initiative demonstrates the administration’s commitment to providing judges with the necessary support to carry out their duties effectively.
According to Nnake, ensuring that judicial officers have adequate logistical resources is essential for the efficient discharge of their constitutional responsibilities and the timely delivery of justice.
She added that the provision of the new vehicles reflects the Soludo administration’s resolve to create a conducive working environment for the judiciary while reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the state’s justice system.
