Academic Corruption: Schools Teach Kids As Young As 9 To ‘Masturbate’ For Homework, Have Anal Sex –Report

by Leading Reporters June 19, 2023
written by Leading Reporters

A report by Daily Mail said many teachers are ‘indoctrinating’ children with scientifically false claims about biological sex, presenting gender as fluid and furthering a narrative that people can be born in the wrong body.

In UK schools, children are being taught about anal sex and orgasms before they have reached puberty and set ‘masturbation’ as homework, as revealed by secretive lesson plans.

A report by Daily Mail said many teachers are ‘indoctrinating’ children with scientifically false claims about biological sex, presenting gender as fluid and furthering a narrative that people can be born in the wrong body.

This comes as the National Health Service is facing a mass legal action from 1,000 families who claim their children were rushed into taking life-changing puberty blockers’ by the Tavistock Centre.

MailOnline said it found graphic teaching material — including a sex manual for pre-teens — being taught to children in classes around the UK.

This comes after a concerned mother was denied the right to see the content of the lessons being taught to her 15-year-old daughter in her Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) classes, which became compulsory three years ago.

Despite a judge refusing Clare Page the right to see the material, MailOnline can reveal that a wealth of questionable teaching resources is already available online.

Colouring books, word searches and cartoon drawings have also been given to young girls and boys by ‘activist teachers’ in their ‘overarching mission to sexualise children in the name of inclusion’.

Since September 2020, Relationships Education has been compulsory in primary schools and RSE mandatory in secondary schools. The change left many teaching staff seeking guidance.

The void was filled by charities — some harbouring unconventional views on biological sex and sharing material on their websites that reference underage sex.

MailOnline noted that some children are taught that from birth until the age of one, babies can ‘experience pleasurable sensations’ by touching their genitals.

Other things being taught to children include ways for 12-year-old girls to orgasm while masturbating, including pinching or stroking the clitoris.

According to the report, children are also given ‘masturbation’ homework from a pre-compulsory RSE resource and told that girls as young as 12 can find sexual pleasure from anal, vaginal and oral sex.

The report also noted that young schoolchildren are taught that it’s normal to want to masturbate during and even before they hit puberty and told that it’s normal for prepubescent children to be sexually attracted to anyone.

They are also told that gender is different from sex but is a much more intrinsic part of who a person is and taught that people can change their sex from being a man to being a woman.

They are taught that some ‘non-binary’ humans are neither men nor women and that men with the male Y chromosome can actually be women, which goes against the teachings in biology.

An ‘award-winning’ teaching pack for children as young as nine who have learning disabilities created before RSE was made mandatory was similarly graphic. One of the lesson plans suggested teachers ‘show the group pictures of male and female masturbation’ and ‘simulate anatomically correct dolls masturbating’

In the lesson plan for children as young as nine, the images are not blurred and show a boy and a girl masturbating. The boy is shown as he is in the middle of ejaculating while the naked girl is seen touching herself while closing her eyes and opening her mouth.

A colouring book aimed at children as young as five invited users to colour in Zoë, who is ‘non-binary’, which according to the book means ‘they are neither a boy or a girl’.

A colouring book aimed at children as young as five invited users to colour in Zoë, who is ‘non-binary’, which according to the book means ‘they are neither a boy or a girl’.

Another lesson resource, a book called Great Relationships and Sex Education that is ‘extremely popular with RSE educators’, points children aged 11 to 13 to a ‘hands on guide’ to masturbation that suggests it can be ‘highly pleasurable’ to touch your anus, genitals and nipples

The Sex Education Forum (SEF), Coram Life Education and Brook are some of the leading charities that create lesson plans for schools, hold PSHE workshops and point teachers towards related educational material.

Coram Life Education supports 50,000 teachers. Their PSHE education reaches more than 600,000 pupils each year.

Meanwhile, SEF states on its own website that it ‘has a long history of successfully influencing policy’.

Some teachers and educators believe RSE and Relationships Education are necessary subjects for children to learn.

Danielle Baron was a teacher and assistant head for 10 years and has run her own education and coaching company for eight years.

She said: ‘It is of utmost importance to educate children about navigating relationships, as they are particularly vulnerable, and education and knowledge empowers them to recognise warning signs.

‘By providing children with this education and support, we can help them navigate relationships safely and empower them to protect themselves against potential abuse.’

A trainee teacher at a multi-academy trust in southeast London who teaches RSE three times a week in 20 minute session said it was ‘vital’ for it to be compulsory for children to learn about sex and relationships.

He said: ‘Schools have a role outside of family and religious groups to teach it, informed by science. The kids need to know it.

‘Teaching about gender is important.

‘Many schools think [RSE is] secondary. Teachers want resources given to them. The issue is that the resources are not good enough.

‘Maybe we need a firm curriculum. If it’s left up to private groups then potentially different schools give different RSE.’

Yet others disagree. Ray Freeman is the director of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists.

He told MailOnline: ‘We need to let children be children. What I fear is more of a political movement, where we have classes of girls saying they are a different sex.

‘Sex is biological. Gender is socially constructed. The aggressive movement is mixing the two.

‘It’s dangerous. Has the world gone mad?

‘I think it is psychologically damaging and it can be physically damaging for a young person to be told they are or can be the opposite sex.

‘We have a duty to protect our children. How can we if you don’t know what they are being taught?’

The Family Education Trust’s Lucy Marsh told MailOnline ‘activist teachers’ were on a path to rip children from their families.

She said: ‘It’s an overarching mission to sexualise children in the name of inclusion.

‘If you normalise underage sex to children, it’s grooming and exposing them to sexual abuse.

‘It’s a mission to sexualise children and people don’t understand there’s a huge safeguarding risk in that. It is child indoctrination.

‘When you think of cults, the first thing they do is separate people from families.

‘They are trying to put a distance between children and their families.’

Mrs Marsh has had personal experience of her child being taught shocking sexual material.

She said: ‘My daughter came home and asked if she was asexual. I said, ”Well I hope you are, because you’re 11!”

‘Children come home and become very upset about it.

‘We need a full public inquiry into the Department of Education. A lot of these providers are sanctioning underage sex.

‘We would like [the government] to press pause on RSE lessons until this investigation is over.’

Vagina Matters is the top free teaching resource on sexual health charity Brook’s website. The book which is aimed at 12 to 14-year-olds girls covers sex, masturbation and orgasms and includes cartoons of a woman’s naked breasts, buttocks and vagina.

The guide, for 12 to 14-year-old girls, says: ‘You can be sexually attracted to anyone.’ It also listed ways to find ‘sexual pleasure’ that included ‘anal sex’ and ‘oral sex’.

Under an ‘advice’ heading it added: ‘You can use your fingers to play with your clitoris – stroke it, massage it, rub it, pinch or squeeze it lightly’.

Meanwhile, political activist Laurence Fox told MailOnline: ‘Disgusting ideologues are trying to put children down an irreversible path of manipulation.

‘The fact they want to hide what they are doing is disgusting. It should alarm every parent.

‘This is entirely anti-scientific dribble. It’s total warfare on the family in the name of inclusion and kindness.’

Pastor Bosun Emmanuel speaks to Nigerian church

by Leading Reporters July 27, 2022
written by Leading Reporters

PASTOR Bosun Emmanuel, who earlier warned Nigerians about plans by a militant Fulani Islamic group to Islamise the country by force has emerged again, this time, cautioning the Church against the dangers of impending God’s judgment.

In a very lengthy statement recently, he said: “On Sunday, May 11, 2014, the Lord by His grace enabled me to deliver a message to Nigerian Christians, which became known as ‘THE WAKE-UP CALL.’ “Unfortunately, certain influential people arose amongst the Christians opposed the message. They did not foresee the consequences of their actions, consequences we are all witnessing today.

After the Wake-Up Call, the Lord made me deliver another message at the National Prophetic Conference in November 2016, that “Nigerian Christians are praying and fasting, but they are not repenting.” Based on that message, we started the annual National Prayer of Repentance in 2018.After the third iteration of the intercessory program, God spoke in February 2020 from Matthew 3: 8, “bring forth fruit meet for repentance”. In other words, produce evidence that the Nigeria Church has repented. If anyone has such evidence, as of today, January 2022, we are yet to see it.

“On July 1, 2016, the Lord gave me a message that He has released the spirit of Nebuchadnezzar into Nigeria to punish the rebellion of Nigerian Christians. The President of Nigeria will do whatever he wants, just like king Nebuchadnezzar. All these came to pass.

“God also said that His Word to Nigeria was Jeremiah 27. I delivered this message during the National Prophetic Conference in November 2016. I told the brethren that based on what God showed me, Buhari will not die like Sani Abacha and Umaru Yar’adua. I pointed out that if Nigerian Christians genuinely repent, Buhari will be removed by God. If the Christians do not repent, verse 7 of Jeremiah 27 shall overtake the land. Verse 7 says, “And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of him.”

Every attempt to make Nigerian Christians demonstrate repentance by judging evil, primarily within the Church, was resisted by some Church leaders and their supporters in the Church. Since God deals with His people through their leaders, the attitude of the Church leaders sealed the fate of Nigerian Christians and Nigeria as a country.

In June 2018, the Lord made me write and present a message at a Christian Conference that the Church should re-organize the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) before the end of 2018 or else the consequence on the Church and the country would be disastrous. After the Conference, I circulated the paper. Rather than re-organize CAN, Church officials gathered at a meeting in Abuja, later in the year, and made nought of the message and verbally assaulted the messenger. In 2019, the Church lost control of the national elections. In fact, the Church became the instrument used to hand over power again to enemies of Jesus Christ afflicting the land. We are all witnessing the consequences.

WHO OPENED THE GATES OF HELL?

Every attempt to close the gates of hell was resisted by some Church leaders who saw correction and admonition as challenge and affront to their temporal authority. Things do not just happen. For hell to have broken loose upon Nigeria, someone opened the gate.

It is time to shut the gate of hell and bring back the glory of God into the Nigerian Church. If there is no conscious effort to shut the gate of hell, then, hell will continue to widen itself and open its mouth without measure.

On April 12, 2021, the Lord told me to write a letter to 12 Christian leaders, that the problem of Nigeria is the “leadership crisis” in the Church. After sending the message to the 12 Church leaders, the letter was circulated to Christians and placed online as a witness. To date, none of the 12 Christian leaders has acknowledged the letter. I am also aware that some other brethren were also instructed by God to write letters to Church leaders on April 11, 2021, May 23, 2021, and on August 26, 2021.

On May 5, 2021, the Lord spoke that He was no longer interested in the repentance prayer of Nigerian Christians. Many of them only repent with their mouths but do not produce the fruit of repentance.  Therefore, He wanted to commence judgment. I should point out that the Lord did not tell me whom He was going to judge, how He was going to judge, or when He would commence the judgment.

One thing is clear, the Nigerian Church has been experiencing God’s indignation for many years without any attempt by those who constitute leadership in the Church to put the House of God in order. This indifference confirms the word of God in September 2013, that the Nigerian Church is an “irresponsible Church.”

God forbid that the Nigerian Church is repeating the sin of Eli, Hophni, and Phinehas in Shiloh. It is time to bring back the glory of God into the Nigerian Church.

“The further a society drifts from the truth, the more they will hate those that speak it.” Selwyn Duke

CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP

In all aspects of human endeavour, leadership is crucial. The Church is not an exception. If the people of God are not led or represented by God’s appointed candidate, Christians will suffer immensely. Therefore, in the next election of the President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in June 2022, Church leaders must be prayerful, submissive to the Holy Spirit, and conduct thorough background checks of every candidate. The Electoral College of CAN must do a thorough job. Christians must pay close attention to the election in CAN because whatever decision is taken there affects them. That is the office of the “Gate Keeper”’.

On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, God told me that the office of the President of CAN is the Office of the “Gatekeeper,” therefore, it must only be occupied by God’s appointed candidate. Any candidate that rigs election or bribes delegates to vote for him is not God’s candidate. Those who rig elections cannot claim to be ordained by God.

The mere fact that a Church leader bribes delegates to vote for him is the first sign that God did not call him into the office. If God did not call a man into an office, God will not give the man grace to succeed or be fruitful in the office. If God refuses to work with a leader, it is the followers who will suffer immeasurably.

The past few years have been traumatic for Nigerian Christians. We measure our losses in human blood and count it in loss of human lives.

If Nigerian Christians want the indignation of God to come to an end, they must insist on credible elections in CAN, and righteousness from the Church leaders. It is unfortunate that some Christian leaders, who should teach and promote TRUTH in the Church, are the very people misleading Christians, and twisting the truth in the Church. This is very unfortunate.

When the evils done in the Church were exposed, rather than execute judgment and condemn the evils, some Church leaders diverted attention by describing the whistle-blowers as “rebels.” You cannot paint innocent people with the brush that stained you before God. Those who expose evils in the Church are not rebels. It is those who do evil in the Church, the thieves, the serial liars, the violators of the Constitution of the Church, those who rig elections, the merchants in the sanctuary, and their supporters, those are the rebels, because they disobey God and bring calamity upon innocent Christians. It is because of these evil doers that God is angry with the land. The truth cannot be silenced in the Church. All Church leaders involved in these acts of iniquity should ask God for forgiveness and repent. They stand condemned. In the court of heaven, they are condemned.

Every God-fearing Christian must condemn “cash and carry” elections in CAN. It must not happen again. It is an embarrassment to the Kingdom of God that Church leaders would engage in bribery to win elections in the Church, yet the same Christians loudly condemn election malpractice amongst politicians. Are some Christian leaders any better?  Those who rig elections cannot claim to be ordained by God.

20 Million USD Paid For Rare Scotch Whisky Setting New Record

by Leading Reporters July 10, 2022
written by Leading Reporters

What’s So Special About The Beverage?

Thomas Moradpour, the president and chief executive of Ardbeg’s owner Glenmorangie, a subsidiary of the LVMH luxury goods group, said the record-breaking cask was a source of pride for the local community.

A private collector in Asia has set a unique record after he bought a cask of rare scotch whisky for a whopping £16m ($20mn). According to sources privy to the deal, the single malt dates to November 1975 and smashed the previous record of £1m ($1.2mn) set in April this year, reported the Financial Times.

Luxury goods group and Ardbeg distillery

Thomas Moradpour, the president and chief executive of Ardbeg’s owner, Glenmorangie, a subsidiary of the LVMH luxury goods group, said the record-breaking cask was a source of pride for the local community. He said the people of Islay had seen the distillery come back from the brink of extinction to become “one of the most sought-after whiskies in the world”, reported The Guardian.

What is Cask No. 3

Known as Cask No 3, the whisky was produced at the 207-year-old Ardbeg distillery, on the Scottish island of Islay. It sold for more than twice the amount the distillery and its entire stock was bought for in 1997. The distillery will draw around 88 bottles of whisky from the cask in each of the next five years and deliver them to the buyer. That’s about £36,000 ($43,000) per bottle. The record sale comes after the supermarket Morrisons accidentally priced bottles of scotch whisky at just £2.50 ($3), a 93% discount from its usual price of £36 ($43), last month.

Bill Lumsden, the head of distilling and whisky creation at Ardbeg, said, as reported by The Guardian, “I’ve really only tasted a whisky like this two or three times in my career. “It has an emotional, comforting quality to it I find hard to put into words.”

Pope Francis may be the last Pope according to 1595 prophesy by a Benedictine Monk

by Leading Reporters April 7, 2022
written by Leading Reporters

For thousands of years, people all over the ancient world claimed to have the powers of foresight. In 1143, The Prophecy of the Popes was created – listing the future attributes of the 112 pontiffs succeeding St. Peter. This 900-year-old prophecy predicted that Benedict XVI would be the 111th pope, therefore, if it is correct, the current Papal Conclave will bring about the end of the world.

In 1595, a Benedictine monk named Arnold de Wyon published  Lignum Vitae – in which he claimed to have “discovered The Prophecy of the Popes,” which were originally written by St. Malachy, the Archbishop of Armagh in 1143. In 1871, Abbé Cucherat, in his book The Prophecies of the Succession of the Popes , tells us that in 1139 Malachy was “summoned to Rome Pope Innocent II to receive two wool palliums for the metropolitan sees of Armagh and Cashel.”

While in Rome, Malachy is said to have experienced a “vision of future popes,” which he recorded as a sequence of cryptic phrases describing their personality traits. St. Malachy allegedly gave his manuscript to Innocent II and the document remained unknown in the Roman Archives until its discovery in 1590.

Examining the Papal Prophecy

The first pope listed after St. Peter was Ex caſtro Tiberis, who is noted as having lived in a “castle on the Tiber.” Regarding the final Pope, de Wyon claimed that Malachy wrote an apocalyptic statement which translates from Latin as:

“In the extreme persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit. [sic] Peter the Roman, who will nourish the sheep in many tribulations; when they are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The end.”

When the text was discovered in 1595 it caused great intrigue and carried an air of legitimacy because so many of Malachy’s descriptions matched those of previous Popes. To many, the resignation of Benedict XVI in 2013 indicated the beginning of the End of Days – also as prophesied.

However, not a shred of tangible evidence exists to associate Malachy with the prophecy, and the “original document” that de Wyon claimed to have “found” in the Vatican Secret Archives has never been seen by anyone else, ever. Soon after its discovery, many Catholic scholars deemed it as a contemporary forgery, however many others have continued to believe in the document’s authenticity.

Skeptics argue that historically when people had prophetic visions they told a lot of people, but Malachy apparently didn’t mention his vision to a soul, nor did his biographer, St. Bernard of Clairvaux; who documented several of Malachy’s other alleged miracles. And, depending on how you interpret the prophecy, Benedict XVI is not the 111th pope! Ten antipopes are listed among the “112 Popes” – so it is argued that Benedict XVI was the 101st pope.

Proving the Prophecy as a Forgery

Among the historians who maintained that the prophecies were a late 16th‑century forgery, Spanish monk and scholar Benito Jerónimo Feijóo y Montenegro wrote Teatro Crítico Universal  between 1724–1739. In an entry entitled ‘Purported prophecies’ he observed a “high level of accuracy in the descriptions of the popes until the date they were published” … then, a “high level of inaccuracy after the publication date.” Friar Benito Jerónimo Feijóo y Montenegro was a Spanish monk and scholar who led the Age of Enlightenment in Spain and debunked myths and superstitions. This observation convinced him the prophecy was “created just before its publication.”

Having established that the prophecy was most probably a hoax, why were the prophecies created in the first place? A theory was forward by a 17th-century French priest Louis Moréri in his encyclopedia Le Grand Dictionnaire historique which suggested “supporters of Cardinal Girolamo Simoncelli created them in a bid to support his bid to become pope in the 1590s.” His evidence was in that the prophecies predicted the pope that would follow Urban VII was “Ex antiquitate Urbis” (“from the old city”), and Simoncelli was from Orvieto, which in Latin is Urbevetanum “old city” (Miller, 1981).

Writing extensively about the prophecy being a forgery, M. J. O’Brien, a Catholic priest who authored an 1880 monograph on the prophecies said: “These prophecies have served no purpose. They are absolutely meaningless. The Latin is bad. It is impossible to attribute such absurd triflings … to any holy source. Those who have written in defence of the prophecy have brought forward scarcely an argument in their favour. Their attempts at explaining the prophecies after 1590 are, I say with all respect, the sorriest trifling” (O’Brien, 1880).

What Does the Hoaxed Prophecy Say of Today and Tomorrow?

If the list of descriptions is matched directly to a list of historic popes since its publication, Benedict XVI (2005–13) corresponds to the second last noted pope, described as “Gloria olivae” (the glory of the olive). And the final prophecy predicts the Apocalypse: “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit Peter the Roman [as bishop], who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.”

Pope Francis was not born Peter – his name was Jorge Mario Bergoglio – and he is showing no signs of preparing to bring about the end of the world. Well, I hope he isn’t!

Ex-Nigerian Billionaire Goddy Anabor Turn Taxi Driver,Explains His Tragic Fall

by Folarin Kehinde October 22, 2021
written by Folarin Kehinde

In fact, in Lagos Sheraton Hotel, I spent 86million Naira in hosting people from London for one year and three months. I have the receipts, and you can go and ask them there. Today, things are very rough for me and my family; in fact, I don’t even know what to say anymore. I see my name in all the newspapers, and I don’t know why.

I trained people like Chris Sogunro, Tokunbo Sodunke, Dare Babayemi, Wale Awesu, and many of them like that. I made them what they are, and today, they are Billionaires. I’m surprised that they see me in this condition; some of them say I’m pushing drugs, but they can’t help me out. I don’t why they are such ingrates. It is only one man called Mike Biggy who lives somewhere in Akowonjo that has helped me. He rented a house for me and really takes care of me. I wonder why this people decided to treat me this way considering the amount of money I spent on them. There was a time I had N3bn in Equity Bank at Allen Avenue, Ikeja, which I spent on people. Anyway, I thank God for my life. I started colour printing in Nigeria, and I was printing for Thisday Newspaper, Punch, and many others. I also registered a security company which was approved and I had a license. They gave three of us the license. We had Vanni, Gordon and another one. I was even guarding the airport.

You were quite big then; didn’t you invest your money wisely then?

I invested a lot of my money, but because of corruption, mismanagement of the people handling the businesses ran them down. When you have a business, it’s very good to employ people who are reliable and give them some percentage of the investment or profits to get their commitments. That lesson I learnt greatly. I was putting my wife and my family, they ran the business down. My wife, Anthonia was even sharing money with people on purchases and supplies. My workers were building houses from the money they were making from the companies without letting me know.

How did you meet Anthonia?

I met her at a Police Station when I was having a problem then. She was a Sergeant then, very beautiful woman. She was working with Dan Baba then and she was trying to assist me.

Was she your first wife?

No, my first wife is an Ijebu woman called Toyin, and she is still alive. I used to call her Toyin Tomato; she was always with Kolington, Tayelolu and the likes.

Why did you part with her?

I parted with her because she likes parties a lot.

But you were also going to parties then?

I went to parties, but I could not leave my family and go to parties. She used to leave our little son and go to parties. She had three children for me. My first daughter, Bose, is a Phd holder in London. I have another one who is a doctor, and Tunde who is in America.

Are they aware of your situation?

Yes. They’ve tried.

I knew you had properties on Isaac John and Alabi Crescent in Ikeja, what happened to them?

They took advantage of me because they knew I needed money. I was offered N80m by a man called Basorun A.K for a house of about N300m. He has been in jail for about 10 years now because he was a drug dealer.

What about your Guest House on Joel Ogunnaike, GRA, Ikeja?

I rented it, and I gave it to Shina Eddo, who also rented it from the family that owns it. Shina is a very good person to me.

What happened to your fleet of cars because you had a penchant for them?

I had more than 50 cars like Bentley, Rolls Royce and others. I usually bought cars that were newly manufactured. Household enemies are the problems of my life. God has made me to see that the people I trusted don’t even care about me.

Why do you think everyone neglected you?

It’s corruption, distrust. I gave at least 60 percent of all I had to people. I’m so happy on the street because people like Ade Balogun take care of me.

What about Dare Babs; who was he to you?

He was my driver. I brought him from Abeokuta to Lagos when I was working at the Breweries. We had a problem because of some little money of $5m, which was stolen by one Kenny, though we’ve settled it. He’s a very good person, but I haven’t heard from him for some years now.

What’s your relationship with Oghadiome?

He is my village brother; in fact, my compound brother from Fuga in Edo State. The late Admiral Akhigbe was the governor of Lagos State then; I think he was the one that made Oghadiome to become a deputy to Lucky Igbinedion of Edo State then. When he became the Chief of Staff to Jonathan, I went to Abuja to look for him. I was thinking he would call me for something important because when his mother died, I was there. Even when they were building the secretariat in Fugar, I was the one that contributed the most and they named a hall there after me: Godwin Anabor Hall. Today, none of them recognises me, and it’s very funny.

Do you think what is happening to you is Karma because you used to ‘obtain’ people then?

In the Bible, God says ”if you believe him, he will give you joy. And for those that don’t believe him, he will give them power to acquire, but those who believe in Him will take it from you.” God gave me money; I did not obtain, it just came. If I obtained, they would have arrested me. I’ve never been on trial; or jailed for any offence. I don’t have such a record.

For your information, I know I will come back again; that’s why I’m speaking like this. I will come back again because you’re bound to go up and down seven times and still have the grace. I believe in God.

What is your greatest joy in life?

My joy is that I did not die and give people opportunity to say good things about me when I’m gone. I’m alive to see how people are treating me when I don’t have. In fact, people that I taught how to make money then and who are now rich don’t want to touch me.

Ambassadors of foreign countries used to attend your parties, what was your connection with them?

It’s because I’m honest. If you’re honest, people will come to you.

Tell me about your background, where are you from?

I’m from Fugar, Auchi in Edo state, but I was born in Kano, and grew up in Osogbo.

What about Ade Bendel, I learnt he is your friend?

He is like my brother because he is from Owan in Edo State; I met him in Lagos. I heard that he had some problems and he’s in prison; that’s all I know about him so far.

If you come back again, what lessons have you learnt in life?

I want people to know that the friend you have now is not your best friend; in fact, your household enemy is your family. It’s just you and God, believe me. Always watch your back.

Who is left with you now?

It’s God, and He is working because I’m living and enjoying. I still believe in Philippians 4:13. ‘I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.’

There was a report that you are now driving cab, is that true?

People are just writing whatever they like. A lot of people want to give me cars and other things. When God has blessed you, he has blessed you. Did you not see my driver, yes, he drives me in a Toyota call Pencil Light, but I’m not the one driving or doing kabukabu with it. I’ve learnt to live with my condition after all; I’m alive to see it all.

What is your greatest prayer to God now?

My prayer can be found in Psalm 1 which says, ‘Blessed is the man who does not walk in the midst of the wicked.’ He says he will bless them and make them like trees planted by the riverside. That’s what I prayed that I became a rich man. Forget about gossips.

How old are you chief?

I’m 55, and I was born on February 19.

Where is Anthonia and your children now?

They’re in London.

Tell me your last word?

My last word is that everybody should watch their back, because there are household enemies.

Climate: Hurricanes can’t force this 66 years die-hard climate activist to abandon His City

  • Jerome Ringo is 66 years old and he has lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana, his entire life. “We evacuated for Hurricane Katrina, Rita, Gustaf, Ike, Laura, Beta,” Ringo told us in a phone conversation. “We have been evacuated from storms all of our lives.”
  • “I’ve been asked, ‘Why don’t you leave? Why don’t you relocate?'” Ringo said. “There’s no place to run now. The United States of America is becoming a ground zero for climate change.”
  • His tenacity in addressing climate change comes from growing up facing racism. “The climate victory is attainable. The Civil Rights Movement proved that. The women’s movement proved that. That if you keep fighting you can win,” Ringo said.

Jerome Ringo is 66 years old and he has lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana, his entire life. He’s seen a lot of hurricanes come through.

“We evacuated for Hurricane Katrina, Rita, Gustaf, Ike, Laura, Beta,” Ringo told CNBC in a phone conversation on Tuesday. “So, since 2005, honestly, I would say about it’s eight to 10 times.”

Evacuating from storms has been a part of Ringo’s entire life. “It goes back to when we were kids for hurricane Audrey back in 1957,” he told CNBC.

But the orders to leave have become more frequent.

“Normally you evacuate once a year. Now we’re seeing where you evacuate several times a year, because the frequency of the storms has increased as the the intensity of the storms has increased as climate impacts have increased.”

Ringo has always returned to Lake Charles, but he knows many who left and “vowed never to return,” he said.

“I’ve been asked, ‘Why don’t you leave? Why don’t you relocate?'” Ringo said

Why he won’t leave: ‘I’m a front line warrior’

As Hurricane Ida approached the Gulf of Mexico, Ringo prepared to evacuate by boarding up his house, which had been devastated by Hurricane Laura a year ago. He had only moved back into his home following the lengthy reconstruction efforts about two weeks before.

“The problem on the Gulf Coast is whenever a storm hits, it takes forever to get your home repaired,” Ringo said. Between hurricane damage on the Gulf Coast, wildfire damage in California, flooding in Central and Tennessee Valley area, insurance companies “are having to pay out premiums like crazy now. And so the process of getting your property repaired is really difficult,” he said.

“There are blue tarps on the roofs of houses all over the city still from Hurricane Laura.”

Ringo and his family left Lake Charles on Friday, two days before the storm made landfall on Sunday.

“Traffic was bumper to bumper,” Ringo said. “You are talking millions of people. Back to back to back traffic for miles.”

He went to Houston to stay in a hotel, which will be covered by insurance. He’s lucky to have insurance, he said. Many can not afford it.

Major storms leave a “domino effect” of bad conditions getting worse for vulnerable people, Ringo said.

“Because they don’t have money. They don’t have jobs because businesses were destroyed. So you can’t work. There’s no work. Restaurants are destroyed. So you can’t go out and get food…It’s not unusual that people are still getting free food from churches, from the Red Cross, and from whatever is available that might feed their families.”

“I can’t leave those people, Ringo said. “My God, I grew up poor.”

Ringo’s grandfather and parents hunted rabbits and fish. “We lived off the land,” he said. “If you didn’t have a hunter in your family, you, a lot of times, didn’t eat.”

Ringo is one of six brothers, and his father left when he was the eighth grade. “My mom pretty much raised us on our own,” Ringo said.

Now, Ringo is the co-founder and chairman of Zoetic Global, where he works to commercialize energy efficient technologies in the United States and internationally, particularly in Africa. He started his career on the opposite end of the spectrum, working in the petrochemical industry.

But he eventually left and became an environmental and sustainability leader, where he’s led organizations like the National Wildlife Federation and the Apollo Alliance Project, written books, and testified before Congress “about 40 times,” he said. He’s also an ordained minister and occasionally preaches at the nondenominational church his wife runs and is the main preacher for.Chief Business Officer of BARD Holdings Inc. As such, Ringo has a platform that he knows many members of his local community do not have.

“Somebody is going to be on the front line and fight the war or you don’t win the war. And so I’m one of these front line people,” Ringo said.

He had a place in Washington D.C. for 11 years. He knows he could leave Louisiana.

“I’m a front line warrior. So front line is not DC. Front line is on the coast of Louisiana, where the storms are hitting, where the people are being evacuated, where the homes are being destroyed. That’s the front line,” he said.

Where Ringo’s hope comes from

Ringo, well into his sixties, knows that climate change most likely will not be resolved in his lifetime. But he takes solace and gets courage from being a link in the chain.

“If I believe that we had no hope in facing this, I guess that’s when you throw down your weapon and you surrender. I believe that we can fix this problem — whether we can fix it in my lifetime, probably not,” Ringo said. “But my generation can be the catalyst of a solution that is more of a generational solution.”

He believes that when people become educated about climate change and what is causing it, they will change.

Part of his faith in change comes from another social justice movement he has had born witness too: racism.

He remembers Ku Klux Klansmen burning a 13-foot cross in the front yard of his family home. They were trying to intimidate Ringo’s family out of attending primarily white schools, “but we went anyway,” Ringo said.

“When you experience some victories, it gives you a can-do spirit,” Ringo said. “In spite of challenges, in spite of adversity, if you keep fighting, you can win. You know, I’d never imagined that when I was going through what I went through in eighth grade, with crosses burned in our yards, in the the early 1960s and middle of 1960s, I never knew that … the civil rights movement would be signed and passed … that would be equal rights for women, equal rights for the gay community and the LGBTQ communities.”

“You just never imagined that there could ever be victories in those areas. But because people continued the fight, they continue to march, they continued to advocate, then successive eventually comes,” he said. “The climate movement is no different. We can win this. The only thing that guarantees us to lose it is to quit.” News Credit: cnbc.com
