by Folarin Kehinde August 27, 2024
written by Folarin Kehinde

There was Jubilation at the office of the Department of State Services (DSS) following the removal of the agency’s DG, Yusuf Bichi.

Recall that Bichi has hinted on his resignation earlier yesterday but his intention was met with his removal by President Tinubu later the same day.

Meanwhile, Tinubu has appointed new Directors-General for the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS).

Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed was announced as the new Director-General of the NIA, to replace Rufai Abubakar.

Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi was appointed as the new Director-General of the DSS.

This was disclosed in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President, on August 26, 2024.

Tinubu’s expectations
According to the statement, President Tinubu expects that the new security chiefs will work assiduously to reposition the two intelligence agencies for better results.

He charged them to bring their experience to bear in tackling the security challenges bedevilling the country through enhanced collaboration with sister agencies and in surgical alignment with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

“The President thanks the outgoing Directors-General of the two pivotal intelligence agencies for their services to the nation while wishing them success in their future endeavours,” the statement partly reads.

Shock! As Chinese Communist Party Govt move to rewrite the Bible, ‘Brainwash Christians’

by Folarin Kehinde August 27, 2024
written by Folarin Kehinde

In a shocking video widely circulated on YouTube, attempt has begun with the rewriting of the Bible by Chinese Communist Party Government, a move aimed at changing the original narrative of incidences in the Bible and portrayal of Jesus Christ.

The communist party of China wants to rewrite the Bible and force their version on Chinese Christians.
One of the changes in this new version turns Jesus Christ into a murderer.

According to report, Chinese govt persecution of Christians has led to more church growth, with China having as many as 130 million Christians in their underground church.

This has caused the communist party of China to now target the Bible itself with what it calls an “An update with Socialist values”.

The new Bible remove passages that don’t agree with communist beliefs. This is intended to confuse Chinese people and prevent them from becoming Christians.

One example of their revision in a high school textbook is John 8: 7-11 the story about the woman caught in adultery. “Jesus said to the angry crowd who were about to cast a stone on the woman who had sinned, Jesus said to the crowd, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

“When the words came to their ears, they stopped moving forward. When everyone went out, Jesus stones the woman himself and said, I am also a sinner”.

The communist party is against Christian and the Bible because they see it as a tool that will take control away from them. Hence they force millions of Children to renounce their faith in public and delete all authentic Bibles from their app stores.

However, the Christians in China are resolute in their faith in Christ. According to one pastor of the underground Church in China, “the communist party have chosen an enemy(Jesus Christ) that can never be imprisoned, but they are doomed to lose”.

The second is a report that Chinese Communist Party authorities in Henan province “forced Protestant churches to replace the Ten Commandments with Xi Jinping quotes,” changing the first commandment from, “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me,” (Exodus 20:3, KJV) to, “Resolutely guard against the infiltration of Western ideology.”

Two Christian pastors at the Congressional meeting testified on persecution in China, noting that many Chinese pastors and Christians are undeterred. International Christian Concern (ICC) recently published a report describing the growth of the underground church in Iran, where government repression seems to cause the church to grow rather than stifle it. As the early church father Tertullian wrote, “the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church.”

“No candidate under age 18 will write UTME” FG insists

by Folarin Kehinde August 26, 2024
written by Folarin Kehinde

The Federal Government has insisted that candidates must be 18 years old before they are admitted into tertiary institutions.

Education Minister Tahir Mamman made this known when he appeared on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

He added that the Federal Government has also instructed the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, and the National Examinations Council, NECO, not to allow underage children to write their examinations.

According to the Minister, no candidate will sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) unless they are 18 years.

“It is 18 (years). What we did at the meeting that we had with JAMB (in July) was to allow this year and for it to serve as a kind of notice for parents that this year, JAMB will admit students who are below that age but from next year, JAMB is going to insist that anybody applying to go to university in Nigeria meets the required age, which is 18.

“For the avoidance of doubt, this is not a new policy; this is a policy that has been there for a long time.

“Even basically, if you compute the number of years pupils, and learners are supposed to be in school, the number you will end up with is 17 and a half – from early child care to primary school to junior secondary school and then senior secondary school.

“You will end up with 17 and a half by the time they are ready for admission.

“In any case, NECO and WAEC, henceforth will not be allowing underage children to write their examinations.

“In other words, if somebody has not spent the requisite number of years in that particular level of study, WAEC and NECO will not allow them to write the examination.”

Shiite Clash: “You killed several of us, shot your own Officers” – IMN replies Nigerian Police

by Folarin Kehinde August 26, 2024
written by Folarin Kehinde

The Islamic Movement of Nigeria, IMN, has issued a statement on the crisis that occurred in Abuja on Sunday between its members and officers of the Nigerian Police Force.

The statement, signed by Sheikh Sidi Munir Mainasara, claimed that the Police opened fired on them(Shiites) unprovoked. They also alleged that the police killed its own officers by mistake as they shot sporadically.

Leading reporters earlier reported that Two Police officers lost their lives in the clash. The statement read in full; “Our attention has been drawn to a press statement signed by one SP Josephine Adeh, the PRO FCT Police Command, alleging that Aeba’een mourners killed two police officers on duty and rendered three others unconscious when they attacked the annual Arbaeen trek in Abuja earlier today. This statement is false, fabricated, and misleading. And we would like to set the record straight.”

“The Arbaeen Trek is a religious event that takes place annually to mark the 40th day of remembrance of the martyrdom of the grandson of the Holy Prophet, who was killed in the plains of Karbala, alongside his family and companions.”

“It’s an event that is attended by people from all walks of life—Muslims and non-Muslims alike—because the sacrifice of Imam Hussein (as) is a pivotal moment that changes human history and transcends race, religion, or ethnicity.”

“This year’s Arbaeen procession commenced peacefully until when the police forces appeared out of nowhere, armed to the-teeth and opened fire on innocent citizens exercising their legal rights. They gravely wounded hundreds, arrested so many others, and killed scores of our brothers and sisters. In the process, they also killed their colleagues, who were apparently hit by their stray bullets as they were shooting indiscriminately.”

“As if that were not enough, a team of combined security forces later in the evening trooped to a guest house in Suleja, where our brothers and sisters used to reside, and opened fire unprovoked. The attack happened around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at a guest house located behind Kwata in Suleja town, Niger State.”

“At the time of compiling this report, an eyewitness confirmed that the police had set fire to a car parked at the entrance of the house, vandalised many valuable facilities, and also attempted to burn down the house, but their efforts were thwarted. The report also confirmed that the police fired indiscriminately at the people present at the scene and arrested dozens of people present at the scene.”

“It could be recalled that in July 2019, a similar incident occurred where the police forces attacked a peaceful #FreeZakzaky procession and killed their colleague in the process, but later blamed the Islamic movement for it. But an autopsy report later revealed that he was indeed killed by a stray bullet, and they were ordered by a court of law to pay ransom to his family.”

“We wish to draw the attention of the general public to the fact that the activists of the Islamic movement are unarmed and defenseless. We do not carry any form of weaponry. Therefore, we reject and condemn the statement from the PRO FCT Police Command in its entirety. It’s a statement aimed at scapegoating the movement as well as seeking cheap public sympathy that will allow them to carry out even further atrocities against defenceless civilians.”, the statement read.

Days after killing Emir, Bandits struck again, kidnapped over 150 in Sokoto state

by Folarin Kehinde August 26, 2024
written by Folarin Kehinde

Bandits have abducted over 150 persons and rustled over 1,000 cattle in some villages in Gobir Emirate of Sokoto State.

The incident happened few days after the death in kidnappers’ den, of the Emir of Gobir, Alhaji Isa Muhammad Bawa, who was also the District Head of Gatawa.

The monarch was, on July 29, kidnapped alongside his son and six others on the Sokoto-Sabon Birni Road.

In a viral video, the deceased, whose hands and legs were tied, was seen appealing to the Sokoto State government, the Sultanate Council, his relatives and friends to help pay the ransom demanded by the kidnappers.

The district head had said that the bandits set a deadline for the payment of the ransom, failure of which they would kill him.

Hundreds of youths in the area ultimately staged protests after the killing of the district head, forcing the state government to impose a curfew on Sabon Birni.

Confirming the latest abductions, Professor Bello Bada of the Department of English, Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto, said it was unfortunate that bandits had returned to their dastardly operations in the area just a few days after the death of the district head.

He said: “The most painful thing about it is that some important people in the area could access the telephone numbers of the bandits and could even have conversations with them. Why? It means the bandits are known.

“People in the area go for negotiation with bandits; it means they know where they are. Why do bandits go to markets freely and sell their cows in the area ?

“Why is it that in the area about 1,000 cows were carted away by bandits? Do the cows have wings to fly? What about our intelligence? How did the bandits pass through villages and towns without being noticed?

“They are taking the rustled cattle into the bush while at the same time, residents of some communities within the district are inside the same bush mining for gold. No, something is wrong. We should tell ourselves the truth. We have to sit down and address this problem for the future of our children”, the professor said.

A member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly representing Sabon Birni (North), Aminu Boza, said a total of 151 people were abducted between Tsamaye and Sabon Birni.

“A day after the death of Sarkin Gobir, the bandits attacked Tsamaye village again, killing some people and abducting unspecified others.

They also attacked Yanfaruna village and abducted 22 people and they went to the next village and abducted 11 people.

“So, a total of 192 people have been abducted and they are still in captivity.
