Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has made history with a new record on TikTok, achieving the most-watched livestream in Africa. The DMW record label head’s recent livestream drew viewers from across the continent and beyond.
On October 30, Davido hosted the event alongside popular content creators Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq. The session attracted 389,800 viewers in total, peaking at 164,000 simultaneous viewers, surpassing the previous record held by Peller in a session featuring artist Tiwa Savage.
The livestream featured Davido engaging with fans in real-time, creating a vibrant interaction. He also received 377 lion gifts from fans, each valued at $400, contributing to the event’s financial success.
