Zinedine Zidane guided his charges to the Primera Division title ahead of rivals Barcelona, and a Champions League victory against Italian champions Juventus.
Speaking after impressing again, this time for Spain in a 2-1 World Cup qualifying win over Macedonia on Sunday, where he provider for Diego Costa’s goal, said he is happy with his performances this season.
He told Teledeporte: “I have finished the season very well.
“Confidence is key for anyone. From the beginning of the season I have felt very comfortable.
“It may be [my best season] because Madrid have made history. When the team results turn out well, they boost an individual. I’m happy about the work I have done and for these three points.”
Isco has a year left on his current contract, and hinted at possibly signing a new deal soon.
“I have already said we are close [to a renewal]. I am very happy in Madrid and hope to be there for many years,” he added.
“Now it is time to rest as the season has been very long.”
