A close source claimed that the Benin Royal Home seems to be favouring APGA over the crises-ridden APC and PDP. To this extent, the Royal Home we learnt did not find it difficult to remark that APGA is a party to beat if they continue on the part of good service delivery to the electorates. Another source said that APGA’s candidate Osaro Onaiwu has already received royal blessings of the exalted throne of Benin Kingdom.
Another factor working in the party’s good is the giant stride Willie Obiano is recording in Anambra State. Willie Obiano, the governor of Anambra State is today adjudged one of the best governors in Nigeria and the number one performing governor in South East. He was elected a governor on APGA’s platform.
Chieftains of the party recently paid a royal courtesy visit to the palace of Oba of Benin. In the visit were His Excellency, Willie Obiano and his Deputy Dr. Nkem Okeke. APGA is the 3rd largest party in Nigeria, making significant progress nationally. Governors elected on APGA platforms have performed creditably well compared with their contemporaries from APC and PDP. APGA according to most political analysts is a better alternative.
APGA is not mostly seen as a political party by the promoters, but a movement that may sweep off other political parties in Nigeria if the promoters continue on the path of service delivery to the electorates, dialogue and persuasion.
