President Muhammadu Buhari appoints AIG Ibrahim K. Idris acting Inspector General

Information at LeadingReporters disposal says that President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed AIG Ibrahim K. Idris the acting Inspector General of Police.    Prior to the appointment, AIG Idris was in charge of operations at the Force Headquarters.

LeadingReporters learnt the President picked Idris from the list of three nominees forwarded to him.

AIG Idris who was transferred from Nasarawa State to the Force Headquarters, Abuja in August 2015 after his promotion was appointed in acting capacity.

Mr. Idris takes over from Solomon Arase who bows out today 21st of June having attained the statutory 60 years age.

Arase was born in 21st June, 1956 in Sapele Delta State Nigeria. He hails from Edo State. Arase Solomon is a Fellow of the Nigerian Defence Academy
